The formation process of the Ao Dai Museum
Located at 206/19/30 Long Thuan, Long Phuoc Ward, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City, the Ao Dai Museum is a place to preserve valuable stories about the Vietnamese ao dai that have been associated throughout the long pages of history books. Stepping into the space of the Museum, visitors can not only admire the beautiful Ao Dai, but also be immersed in the nostalgic atmosphere of traditional culture.
The Ao Dai Museum was born from the talented hands of artist – designer Si Hoang, officially operating since January 22, 2014. This is a place to preserve Ao Dai through images, artifacts and valuable documents. Therefore, this unique Museum has become an ideal destination for those who love to collect Ao Dai, or simply love traditional Vietnamese costumes. In 2015, Dau An Joint Stock Company took on the responsibility of owning, managing and operating the Ao Dai Museum.
With the mission of preserving traditional beauty, the Ao Dai Museum not only preserves cultural heritage, but also broadens its vision by promoting Ao Dai closer to the community. In the exhibition space, the ao dai of historical figures who have contributed to the country are honored in a special space called “Cultural Heritage Ao Dai”.

In addition, the Museum also focuses on introducing unique intangible cultural values of Vietnam such as Quan Ho, Vi Giam, and Don Ca Tai Tu, which have been recognized by UNESCO as representatives of humanity. The Ao Dai Museum opens up a special space for exchange, learning and experience, bringing visitors closer to the historical story behind the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai.
