artLIVE – The ASEAN Photo Contest ‘The Beauty of ASEAN Nations – Viet Nam’s Imprint’ organized by artLIVE, has just completed the voting round. The winning works will be officially announced at the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition on August 25 and will remain on display until September 5 at the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France – IDÉCAF.
‘The Beauty of ASEAN Nations – Viet Nam’s Imprint’ Photo contest
To commemorate the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (August 8, 1967 – August 8, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of Vietnam’s official accession to the ASEAN Community (July 28, 1995 – July 28, 2025), the Vietnam – Southeast Asia Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City (VAFA), the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (IDÉCAF), and artLIVE jointly organize the photo contest ‘The Beauty of ASEAN Nations – Viet Nam’s Imprint.’
The contest is supported by the Consulate General of Malaysia – the 2025 ASEAN Chair – and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO). It aims to create a platform for photography enthusiasts, promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange among member states, and spread positive images of nature, people, and everyday life across the region.
Since its launch, the contest has attracted wide participation from young people and photography lovers, with more than 200 submissions from over 50 authors. Remarkably, the works capture scenes from all 10 ASEAN member states, reflecting the spirit of connection and cultural exchange within the region. The 2024 photo exhibition at IDÉCAF also drew a large audience of visitors and art enthusiasts.
The submitted works offer diverse and emotional perspectives on Asian life and people from majestic and poetic landscapes, iconic cultural and historical landmarks, to simple yet heartwarming everyday moments each conveyed with authenticity and artistic sensibility.

The Opening Ceremony of the exhibition showcasing the outstanding works from the competition officially took place on August 25, with the participation of ASEAN Consulates General in Ho Chi Minh City, the ASEAN Business Associations in Vietnam, along with representatives of international organizations and invited guests.

- Nguyen Thu Dung – Traces of Time – Captured in Cambodia

Following the announcement of results, the selected works will continue to be displayed until September 5 at the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France – IDÉCAF. The exhibition is free of charge and warmly welcomes the public and photography lovers. Beyond honoring the photographers’ talent, the contest also offers the audience an authentic experience of the beauty of Southeast Asia’s nature, architecture and daily life connecting the art-loving community and spreading aesthetic values across borders.
