artLIVE – To create an experiential space that brings people together, from families to young audiences, The Global City, the new urban center of Ho Chi Minh City, launched Global Fountain in May 2024. Global Fountain — A multi-dimensional entertainment space for young people
Global Fountain at The Global City is a dynamic entertainment complex, highlighted by sunset kite flying, free water music shows at the largest fountain in Southeast Asia, a vibrant music stage, art exhibition spaces, skateboarding classes for all levels, and countless other exciting activities.
Since its launch, Global Fountain has hosted a variety of performances by artists and dance crews. Highlights include the German breaking dance crew 040 Finest, brought to Global Fountain by the Goethe-Institut Ho Chi Minh City, as well as a series of vibrant shows by bands and dance groups such as Cinnamon Band, OpenShare Band, The Cloud Band, KALLUS, and graffiti artist Cresk.
Summer Family Funtime activities
On June 30, Global Fountain hosted ViBRANT RaCE, an obstacle course run for children, a highlight of the Summer Family Funtime series. The event offered city residents a lively summer playground right in The Global City’s new urban center. It was met with enthusiastic support from parents, children, and brands alike.
This August, in addition to daily free activities such as skateboarding, water music shows, kite flying, and food tastings, Summer Family Funtime will take place over two full days — August 10 and 11 — featuring a diverse lineup of sports, art, culinary, and entertainment experiences.
Summer Family Funtime will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on both August 10 and 11 at Global Fountain – The Global City.
Families can enjoy all activities completely free of charge, across various themed zones:
- Workshop “The Planting Artist & Terrarium”: Create your green corner at home with handcrafted plants and decor.
- Workshop “Creative Lanterns”: Kids can develop their aesthetic sense, spatial awareness, and logical thinking through lantern decorating activities presented by Giftbrand.
- Woody Zone: A play area featuring classic wooden games such as ring toss, giant Jenga, bowling, and tin can toss.
- Expo Zone: A showcase of products from trusted brands including imoo kids’ smartwatches, Vico Fresh coconut water, Want Want snacks, Acecook noodle station, and more.
- Water Music Show: Enjoy a dazzling daily performance at 7:00 PM at Southeast Asia’s largest fountain.
A special highlight: building on the excitement of its first season, ViBRANT RaCE returns with a brand-new family edition, set for August 11.
The race invites children aged 6–12 and their parents to team up and conquer a 700-meter obstacle course. For every registration, the organizers will donate VND 50,000 to Draw Your Dream – a charitable project launched by artLIVE – Bella Ciao Agency to support underprivileged children across the country.
Young participants will take on a series of fun and engaging challenges along the course, including hurdle jumps, crawling through colored water, navigating tire obstacles, and climbing through a spider web. The challenges are thoughtfully designed for different age groups, helping children build physical strength and sharpen their minds.
Summer Family Funtime is expected to attract 1,000 to 2,000 visitors over the two days. This promises to be an unmissable experience for city families, especially the little ones. At Global Fountain, families will create unforgettable summer memories together.
Check-in at Global Fountain to claim gifts and join a variety of free activities
Throughout the summer, Global Fountain will continue to roll out exciting activities including kite decorating, paper fan decorating, free skateboarding sessions and classes, as well as weekly art, culinary, and sports workshops — all hosted across its vibrant zones. The space is open daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekends and event days.

ramPipe – The smooth outdoor skate park with skateboarding classes
For young people passionate about outdoor sports, ramPipe is the top choice. This skateboarding zone features modern equipment, and smartly designed ramps, and is open daily. Since its launch, ramPipe has been buzzing with energy, especially during the free “Surfskate – How to Start” workshops led by Surfskate Saigon (May 11 – June 1).
Starting June 8, 2024, ramPipe Skateboarding Classes officially opened their doors to learners of all ages. Organized by Bamskateshop – VHT, a retailer known for high-quality skateboards and professional training, these classes are held in collaboration with Bella Ciao Agency at the ramPipe skate park within Global Fountain – The Global City.
Led by coach Le Thien Phuc, who has trained many young skateboarding talents and currently coaches Vietnam’s national team, the classes promise to offer students of all ages a vibrant and rewarding summer experience.
artChive – A unique art space
Blending “Art” and “Archive”, artChive was created to become a place to showcase, nurture, and preserve artistic spirit and values through fresh exhibitions spanning fashion, music, and visual arts.
With its distinctive domed design, the largest of its kind in Vietnam, artChive aspires to be a new artistic space filled with creativity, immersive experiences, and a strong sense of community. It promises to serve as a bridge, inviting the public to explore the fascinating world of art.
The artChive exhibition space will soon officially open its doors with a series of activities led by artist Ha Vu. Known for blending traditional and modern elements, Ha Vu has made his mark with a wide range of works in lino-cut, lacquer, watercolor, and more.
At artChive, the young artist will present his solo exhibition “No.2” along with free lino-cut and oil painting workshops. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the public, especially the younger generation, to engage with unique forms of fine art.
